Hamberg from Tungfo mentions a proclamation of the mandarins which made them give up their plan to settle in Tam Shui

Guetzlaff asks the BM, apparently for the second time, to send missionaries to China.

Lechler from Namo describes how he was forced by the mandarins' decree to leave various places Tam Shui, Aut, Tongon, Tienkang), which makes it impossible to work in the inland.

Lechler asks for the permission to go to Amoy, after having been driven out of Tongon and Tienkang.

On p. 7 Lechler describes some of his Chinese co workers Kinglun, Bai, Gui and Li, who is "one of Guetzlaff's men".

Hamberg in Tungfo defends himself against the committee, which accused him of not travelling to the inland with other tribes. Also some thoughts on the possibilities of missionaries' wives in China.
