M. complaining bitterly of an article in the "Missionsmagazin" on the mission in China after the revolution" by W. Schlatter, disregarding completely by the BM missionaries, and using only English and american sources.

Krayl commenting on the revolution in a very pessimistic way.

In his annual report, Maisch mentions tribal feuds at Limtshai mixed up with the political trouble and the role the missionaries (Neubacher) and the Christians played in it. There is also a new Christian movement in the Hokschuha district with 166 baptisms on one day. M. also voices his opinion on the influence the synods ought to have on certain aspects of church life.
