                <text>Suggested mission projects which were turned down details below.  -Ghant’s Plantation - 4 letters, one of them long, discuss in 1840 a project to start a coffee plantation on the Western Ghats at Agumbi, 30 hours from Mangalore. This is being proposed by the missionary Hiller in Hubli. -ca. 12 letters from c.1865 on the building of a mission station on the White River (?) as part of the "Street of the Apostles" though Africa proposed in connection with the Pilgrim Mission St. Chrischona, Basel; mostly in German, some in English. "Arthington" is the name of a pastor proposing this idea in Leeds GB. Krapf, in Korntal at this time, is involved in the discussion. The river is also called the Bahr al-Ghasal, and had been visited recently by a Dutch lady, Miss Tinné.   4 letters dated 1866 on the idea of a mission among the Ghonds, suggested by a Mr Mulheran at Ellichpur.
