                <text>William Preiswerk-Tissot war der äteste Sohn von Wilhelm Preiswerk-Imhoff und der Bruder von Max Preiswerk. Von 1919 bis 1922 vertrat er die Interessen der MHG sowie als Handelsdelegierter der Schweiz auch die Handelsanliegen des Bundes. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wurde William Preiswerk-Tissot 1925 Delegierter des Verwaltungsrates der UHG und 1938 als Nachfolger seiner Vaters Präsident der BHG.  William Preiswerk-Tissot was the oldest son of Wilhelm Preiswerk-Imhoff and the brother of Max Preiswerk. From 1919 to 1922, he represented the interests of the MHG and, as trade delegate for Switzerland, also the Federation's trade concerns in London. After the First World War, William Preiswerk-Tissot became delegate of the board of directors of the UHG in 1925 and in 1938, as successor to his father, president of the BHG.
