                <text>Ursprünglich gab es in der KEM zum Advent und für die Frühlingsaktion neben dem in grosser Auflage verbreiteten Aufruf jeweils Gottesdiensthilfen für die Pfarrämter.  In den 80er Jahren wurde dieser „Service" ausgebaut, vermutlich im Zusammenhang mit der damaligen Tendenz, statt der beiden fixen Termine (Advent / Himmelfahrt: „Adventsaktion / Frühlingsaktion) „Missionstage" quer durchs ganze Jahr anzubieten, urn sichtbar zu machen, dass „Mission" eine das ganze Jahr hindurch begleitende Sache ist. So wurden verschiedene Hefte entworfen: je nach dem ein Gottesdienstmodell, sowie weltere Vorschläge für Bibelarbeiten sowie ein „Werkheft" mit allgemeinen Materialien zum Jahresthema. Die Bibelarbeitshefte wurden gemeinsam mit „Missio" (Fribourg) vorbereitet, mit verschiedenem Titel, aber gemeinsamem Text. Dies bedingte, dass das Thema des kommenden Jahres meist schon im Advent vorher aufgenommen wurde, oft als Vorreiter für das kommende Thema von Brot für alle gedacht.  Während die Kommission Aktionen zu den Jahresthemen die entsprechenden Aktionen plante, wurden die Jahresthemen von der Planungskonferenz (KEM 11.03) in Absprache mit anderen Organisationen festgelegt.
