Nach dem Kriegsende und der Auflösung der SSS engagierte sich Palliser u.a. in der Internationalen Kommission für die Getreideversorgung der Schweiz sowie in der Schweizer Kohlengenossenschaft weiterhin für den Schweizer Aussenhandel und berat in diesen Funktionen den Bundesart im Rechtsstreit mit der Britischen Regierung.   Arthur Palliser was a British engineer who had worked in India before the First World War and from 1915 headed the office of the Societé Suisse de Surveillance in London. From this position, Palliser represented the trading interests of Switzerland in general and those of the BHG in particular. Palliser thus also advocated the BHG restitution claim before the British government and mediated various influential acquaintances in London.  After the end of the war and the dissolution of the SSS, Palliser continued to be committed to Swiss foreign trade, among other things in the International Commission for the Supply of Grain to Switzerland and in the Swiss Coal Union, advising the Swiss Confederation in legal disputes with the British government.

                <text>Lord Viscount Templetown besetzte nach 1890 den Sitz der Irish Representative Peer im Oberhaus, von welchem aus er sich für den Rückerstattungsprozess der BHG nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg für diese engagierte. Arthur Palliser war ein britischer Ingenieur, der vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg in Indien tätig gewesen war und ab 1915 in London das Büro der Societé Suisse de Surveillance (SSS) leitete. Von diesem Posten aus vertrat Palliser die Handelsinteressen der Schweiz im Allgemeinen sowie diejenigen der BHG im Speziellen. Palliser machte sich daher auch für den Rückerstattungsprozess der BHG vor der Britischen Regierung stark und vermittelte dieser verschiedene, einflussreiche Bekanntschaften in London. Nach dem Kriegsende und der Auflösung der SSS engagierte sich Palliser u.a. in der Internationalen Kommission für die Getreideversorgung der Schweiz sowie in der Schweizer Kohlengenossenschaft weiterhin für den Schweizer Aussenhandel und berat in diesen Funktionen den Bundesart im Rechtsstreit mit der Britischen Regierung. Palliser und Templetown waren eng miteinander befreundet.  Lord Viscount Templetown held the seat of the Irish Representative Peer in the House of Lords after 1890, from which he was involved in the restitution process of BHG after the First World War. Arthur Palliser was a British engineer who had worked in India before the First World War and from 1915 headed the office of the Societé Suisse de Surveillance in London. From this position, Palliser represented the trading interests of Switzerland in general and those of the BHG in particular. Palliser thus also advocated the BHG restitution claim before the British government and mediated various influential acquaintances in London.  After the end of the war and the dissolution of the SSS, Palliser continued to be committed to Swiss foreign trade, among other things in the International Commission for the Supply of Grain to Switzerland and in the Swiss Coal Union, advising the Swiss Confederation in legal disputes with the British government. Palliser and Templetown were close friends.
