Damit Aussenstehende und Interessierte über laufende Projekte der evangelischen Missionsgesellschaften informiert werden können, gab die KEM jedes Jahr ein Heft "Projekte" heraus. Zu jedem Projekt folgte ein Kurzbeschreib darüber wo und von wem es erstellt wurde, wofür es gut ist und wieviel Geld das Projekt insgesamt benötigt. So bot die KEM unter anderem einen Überblick zu den Projekten von der Basler Mission, Brot für Brüder, Département Missionaire, Schweizerische Südafrika Mission, Schweizerische Evangelische Nilland-Mission oder auch Schweizerische Ostasie-Mission. Ab 1981 erschien nicht nur jährlich ein Projektheft, sondern es wurde auch alle zwei Monate "Projektinformation" im Rahmen der Zeitschrift Informationsdienst herausgegeben. 1992 trafen die KEM, BFA, HEKS und SEMR eine Vereinbarung zu einer gemeinsamen Projektstelle, die PEW (Projekte der Evangelischen Werke) entstand. Ab 1993 war der Name des Herausgebers des Projektheftes die PEW. Aus diesen Unterlagen des Projektdienstes geht hervor, wo, für was, wieviel gespendet wurde.
