"Letters between Government and the Mission in Ghana"

A book into which are bound letters passing between Government and the Mission in Ghana, along with other miscellaneous letters which have been simply placed in the book. The earliest date from 1874, the most recent from 1917, though there is also a copy of the proceedings from a case in the Gold Coast Supreme Court concerning land in Akyem Kotoku heard in 1930. The correspondence is very scattered, but there are some exchanges of letters concerning events in Akyem Abuakwa in the early 1890s, and documents concerning the authority of the Larte Presbytery in respect of a house in the Presbyterian Salem in Larte owned by a member of the Anglican congregations.
