"Briefe an S. Hebich Indien 1844-59"

1845 1846 1847 includes one letter in English d. 1st April to Henry Venn. 1848 the reference on the cover to an intensive exchange of letters Mögling/Hebich on financial matters presumably refers to documents since put in the special Mögling file above in C-10.30a 1849 1850 significant English materials, but nevertheless little compared with the German. 1851 includes a 21-page handwritten compilation of messages addressed to the missionaries in India by the current seminarians of the Mission College in Basel. 1852 includes a small fragment of palm-leaf with a message ?in Malayalam?) 1853 a sinister observation: an earlier account of the contents of this file says (in German) - "many English letters and documents". A fairly careful search found none - they were presumably weeded as these files moved slowly from Cannanore to Basel - see above. 1854 similar comment to 1853, similar lack of English materials. 1855 1856 1857 1858 1859
