"Miscellaneous collection of documents"

Almost certainly a collecting-place at some stage of archival re-organisation for documents "with no home". Some few materials on Kudat (N. Borneo) have been removed for filing in the archive on Sabah. Perhaps the most noteworthy contents are: -a detailed list of local purchases for an unnamed college in India (books, maps, lab apparatus, gymnastic apparatus), probably c.1902. -a MS memo by Inspector Frohnmeyer on the Christian College in Calicut, 4. Nov. 1908. -original copy of a letter from the Secretary of the Arcot Mission of the Reformed Church in America enquiring about the Basel Mission’s interest in taking over their congregation in Coonoor -4 original letters to the BM headquarters in Basel from the General Treasurer of the Basel Mission in India from the autumn of 1914 -Documents from the General Treasurer of the Basel Mission in India from the autumn of 1917 summarising financial matters since the beginning of the War -a folder of correspondence about the Christian College in Calicut from 1926 -materials on church unity matters from the early 1930s -typewritten information in English about a high-level meeting in London on 4th July 1950 about a crisis in the CSI in N. Kerala -a German translation of an [Indian] "Guardian" article dat. 30. April 1953 on missions, missionaries and the Government, including questions of conversion.
