"[No title] [Field Secretaries’ Office, 1888-1895]"

File with the same construction as C-5-4.7, flat dimensions 31x24 cm. The block of bound paper is 4.7 cm thick. The letters appear to be numbered through 1-367, and there is an alphabetical index at the rear. Condition: basically the binding still exists and functions. The condition of paper/ink is good, though some pages show marginal damage from worms/insects. File generated in the office of the Indian Field Secretary 1888-1895, largely devoted to communications from Basel, but also including the circulars produced in India on this basis. A cursory search revealed copies of many formal "Instructions"given to missionaries on their departure for India from Basel (for the main series of copies of Instruktionen see +-3-3.25ff).
