Very large format ledger (41x24.5 cm, paper block 2.5 cm between the covers) with 462 numbered pages (a number of pages beyond 462 seem to have been torn out), of which 198 have been used. Condition: good. It covers the period January 1917 to March 1919.. Working language English, excellent and beautiful handwriting with an Indian "touch". This ledger covers all the Basel Mission stations - so presumably was used in the office of the General Treasurer. It appears to be a record of all disbursements or credit/debit transactions within the organisation of the Basel Mission, and includes regular lists of pension payments to former catechists and teachers.
