"Gebietsakten Indien. Generalkonferenz, Canara & Südmahratta. 1868 / Letters and Reports from India. General Conference and Karnataka, 1868."

This volume corresponds in structure to C-1.36, but is perhaps 15% more voluminous. It does begin with a section on the correspondence of the General Conference Executive Committee. Unusually the section index gives the listed documents no reference number - there are about 17 of them. Then follows the section on the Canara District Conference which again has the unusual feature that the serial numbers given are roman numerals, from I to XXXI. From here the volume is organised as we would expect it to be, with - as in most recent years - a section named for Anandapoor, and no section named "Kurg". NB two documents in English - an inspection report for a BM school in Tellitscheri and a petition from old boys of a BM school in Mangalore - are neither bound into this volume, nor included in relevant sectional indexes, but lie in an envelope at the beginning of the volume. The petition has over 50 signatures, and a whole page of notes in Josenhans’ handwriting.
