This volume corresponds in structure and size to its predecessor, C-1.27. The Nilgiri section has been renamed "Keti". NB the "Calicut" section includes reports with the dateline Kodakal. As in C-1.28 the indexes are again very cursory (in comparison with the volumes for 1860). A selection of captions and index-information which may prove follows: In the section for the Malabar District Conference there is a German translation of a petition from the Catechists and Elders of the Malabar congregations, 29. Nov. 1861, and comments on it by the missionaries Gundert, Müller and Irion ("Malabar District Conference" documents 7-11). In the section on Palghat there are reports by Hanhart on a Hindu festival (Palghat 6 & 7) and a petition from the people of Tattamangalam (Palghat 22).
