This volume contains the following sections: Minutes of the Malabar District Conference (1 document); Cannanore (35 documents); Tellicherry (41); Chombala (14); Calicut (22); Palghat (22); Nilgiris (23). As with C-1.26 there is an appendix with older documents. These are given a special heading, but have references under the section "Nilgiris". There is a cross-reference to three documents (C-1.27.Nilagiris.24 to 26) in the year above in which they were originated. C-1.27.Nilagiris.27 is an undated paper from Bühler containing 90 sayings from the Nilgiris in German translation, and the situations in which they were used. Selection of particular titles from the Quarterly Reports: Müller "On the Taliparamba Festival", and "Visit to the Rajah of Chiracal" (Cannanore 22 & 23); Hanhart "The annual festivals in Malayalam country" (Cannanore 31). Burckhardt "A movement in a fishing village" (Talatscheri 29) Irion "Preaching in the Bazaar in Talatscheri" (Talatscheri 32) Diez on preaching journeys (Chombala 7 & 9) Convert on Gundert’s farewell (Calicut 18), and impressions of the case ofcatechist Esau (Calicut 20). (There is also a summary biography of one Anna Subaya as appendix to the Annual Report from Calicut (Calicut 22). Strobel on Deities and Festivals (Palghat 16 & 17) Mörike writes about Neokambe, news from Tinevelly, and experiences with "young" Badaga congregations (Nilgiris 16-18).
