In the course of rebinding in the 1990s the single volume Q-1.23 was divided into two for the sake of ease and conservation. But the existing order was retained, and it is not necessary to quote more than C-1.23, the section name and the document number in referring to a particular document. The organisation and the style of indexing of C-1.23 remains very similar to that of C-1.20, but the sections are changing, as will be evident from a comparison between the paragraph which follows and the equivalent paragraph in the comment on C-1.20. The individual sections are named "Canara District Conference" (3 documents, though these exceptionally have no individual reference numbers, and are not individually listed); Mangalore (98 documents); "Dr Gundert’s Letters" (16); Mulki [&] Udipi (56); "South Mahratta District Conference" (10 documents, individually numbered, but not individually listed); Hubli (13 documents); Gadag Betgeri (11); Malasamudra (12); Guledagudda (5); Malabar District Conference (10); Cannanore (46); Talatscheri (24); Chombala (28); Kolikodu [=Calicut] (28); Palakadu [= Palghat] (14); Keti (25); Alamanda & Madikeri (5); Kodagu Stations (1857 & 1858 (23).
