Description
C-1.15 is divided into clearly labelled sections, and each document is numbered and listed at the beginning of each section. In the course of rebinding in the 1990s the single volume Q-1.15 was divided into two for the sake of ease and conservation. But the existing order was retained, and it is not necessary to quote more than C-1.15, the section name and the document number in referring to a particular document. C-1.15 has the following sections: Vol. 1: Mangalore (55 documents), Mulki (6), Honowar (14), Dharwad (18), Hubli (7), Gadag Betgeri (6), Malasamudra (9), Guledagudda (5). Vol. 2: Cannanore (40 documents), Madikeri [&] Almanda* etc (15), Tellicherry (12), Chombala (7), Calicut (19), Keti (17). NB a document from Bühler dated 1853 about indigenous marriage on the Nilgiris has been filed under C-1.27.Nilgiris.25. *See the note at C-1.14.
