Divided into sections for Dharwad 1837 (16 documents), Dharwad-Honowar-Hubli 1838 (14), "Preaching, Travel Reports and Diaries" 1838 (7 ), Dharwad 1839 (9), "Southern Mahratta" 1840 [mostly Dharwad, but with a few letters from Hubli and Gadag Betgeri] (19), Hubli 1841 (18), Dharwad 1842 (17), Hubli-Gadag Betgeri-Malasamudra 1842 (14), Dharwad-Hubli 1843 (18), Gadag Betgeri-Dharwad-Malasamudra 1843 (17). NB Honowar is explicitly part of the section of correspondence from "Mulki, Honowar" in the two voumes of Southern Karnataka correspondence C-1.3, and C-1.4. The indexing is more than usually cursory in style. The geographical organisation of the sections not as clear as it usually is. The section "Preaching, Travel Reports and Diaries 1838" contains material from Mögling (sermon), Hebich, Frey, Layer, Lehner and Greiner-with-Frey-and-Löscher. Hebich’s report is entitled "A Stay on Yellama Mountain" (C-1.5 . Preaching, Travel Reports and Diaries,2). C-1.5,Dharwad 1837,16 (with a number of Appendices) is concerned with the beginning of the Dharwad mission station, mostly in English.
