"Abgeordnetenversammlungen und Vorstand / General Assemblies and Executive Board"

Die Abgeordnetenversammlung ist die Nachfolgerin der Heimatgemeindevertretung. Gemäss der Verfassung von 1994 setzt sie sich zusammen aus Delegierten aus den Vereinen und Komitees der Basler Mission, aus den Kirchen sowie aus den freen evangelischen Kirchen, die mit ihr zusammen arbeiten. Die Abgeordnetenversammlung war zuständig für die Revisin der Verfassung, genehmigte die Jahresberichte und -rechnungen sowie das Budget und bestimmte, mit welchen Vereinen, Komitees und kirchlichen Organisationen die Mission zusammenarbeitete. Gemäss der Verfassung von 1994 besteht der Vorstand aus dem beziehungsweise der Vorsitzenden der Abgeordnetenversammlung sowie aus dem beziehungsweise der Vorsitzenden der Basler Mission Deutscher Zweig sowie aus 10 bis 16 von der Abgeordnetenversammlung gewählten Mitglieder. Der Vorstand ist unter anderem verantwortlich für die Leitung der Basler Mission sowie für die theologische und inhaltliche Ausrichtung des Werks. Er hat folgende Aufgaben: Verabschiedung von Jahresbericht, Jahresrechnung und Budget zuhanden der Abgeordnetenversammlung; Genehmigung der Dienst- und Gehaltsordnung sowie des Stellenplans, Errichtung von Stiftungen und Gründung von Vereinen zur Erfüllung besonderer Aufgaben; Abschluss von Kooperationsverträgen mit Partnerinstitutionen; Zusammenarbeit mit den Vereinen und Komitees. The General Assemby is the successor of the Home Community Representation.According to the constitution of 1994 it is made up of delegates from the associations and committees of the Basel Mission, from the churches as well as from the free Protestant churches that work with it. The General Assembly was responsible for revising the constitution, approving the annual reports and accounts as well as the budget, and determining with which associations, committees and church organisations the Mission cooperated. In accordance with the 1994 constitution, the Executive Board consists of the Chairman of the General Assembly, the Chairman of the Basel Mission German Branch and 10 to 16 members elected by the General Assembly. Among other things, the Board is responsible for the management of the Basel Mission and for the theological and content-related orientation of the organisation. It has the following tasks: Approval of the annual report, annual accounts and budget for the attention of the General Assemby; approval of the service and salary regulations and the staffing plan, establishment of foundations and formation of associations to fulfil special tasks; conclusion of cooperation agreements with partner institutions; cooperation with the associations and committees.
