Extracts from diary: Taking leave of Widmann and Governor Carstensen. Old missionaries sad. Danish flag for last time hoisted on Christiansborg castle (p 1). Finds Abokobi plantation neglected, coffee trees and orange tree there (p 2). His job: The schools and written work on the Ga language (p 4). He shall concentrate on Ga to be introduced in school in due time. Visit to Teshi (p 6). Starts a systematical Ga word collection. Visit to Abokobi: Only four families there, there could be 500 people urged him to stay with them. Plans to spend some weeks with them (p 9). The Methodists have given up since new year the distribution of clothes in school. They should do the same (p 11). Very friendly relations with Rev. Wharton in Accra (p 12).
