Sad news: Death and burial of Mrs. Riis. He preached over the tomb on the wedding text of Riis. Lament. 3,24-26. Riis followed the coffin with one shoe only, the bad foot training along in socks only. Mrs. Widmann sick (p 1). Why so high expenses: To keep the bush low costly, the plantation needs money. There are about 100 coffee trees there and a place where they watch seeds grow into seedlings. Yams and corn did well, the people feared to steal from him.
