i) The Building of the West Indian houses: premiums given to masons for quick work. Work at the stone house for Widmann begun (pp 1-2). ii) The planting coffee: doing well, once the plants are higher than 1 foot before that time, some animal rodes away leaves at night. He planted about 300 trees harvested last year 23 lbs coffee. He gave part of it as seed to the West Indians and Meischel Cocoyam (arrow root and plantains and bananas). Cotton: He has not the time to take proper care of it. But doing well. Yams: needs much work and much is stolen from them. Corn: he harvested 35 bushels. Groundnuts planted but a little needs much work, profit small. Vegetables. Laborers (including West Indian workers): 20-30 (pp 2-3).
