"Widmann from Akropong"

The story of the perfidy of Adum and the Christiansborg people against Owusu Akyem and the Akropongs and the tragedy of the 25th November. See: Missionsmagazin 1845, pp 106-109. Not printed: Guilt of the Governor: Interfering too late and listening to his Mulatto wives (p 1). The soldiers of the fort are bribed by Adum and maltreat the Akropong refugees in the fort. The Governor wants to reinstall Adum and to build a fort at Akropong. He has sent the missionaries a Danish flag, but they are not going to hoist it at Akropong, that is the Governor's palaver. Emilie Riis died on the 21st November 1844.
