Description
He had an exam with the children in school in singing, reciting of hymn memorized, reading, writing, biblical history and counting. There are now 22 boys and 9 girls and with him two monitors in school. There are more children coming now. Mulatto boys had left the school, since they did not find what they wanted (p 1). Thanks for clothes given to Mrs. Thompson (p 3). He did know of Halleur's intention to ask for dismissal, but thought that he had given it up (p 3).
