"Riis to Inspector Blumhardt"

Rev. Törsleff must be behind the resolution, that they cannot celebrate any marriages. He even maintains that they are not allowed to ma take the Lord's supper! If this should really be forced, they will have to remove from Danish territory. Törsleff was annoyed that Riis in letters had counted him among those who were enemies of the mission. He maintains that under Henke and Riis the children in the Mulatto school learned less than under himself. Riis has not seen Governor Mörck since April 1837. He is told that excess of drink is undermining the poor man’s health. Spoke to Akropong elders about a school-has not yet received answer.
