William Preiswerk-Tissot was the oldest son of Wilhelm Preiswerk-Imhoff and the brother of Max Preiswerk. From 1919 to 1922, he represented the interests of the MHG and, as trade delegate for Switzerland, also the Federation's trade concerns in London. After the First World War, William Preiswerk-Tissot became delegate of the board of directors of the UHG in 1925 and in 1938, as successor to his father, president of the BHG.
