Description
They arrived in Anum at the end of December, their child having been fed partly by women in the villages who were suckling their own children (12 women helped in this way) and partly by Swiss milk kept in a bottle with a rubber cork. In a postscript he reports that there is no news about the war. Dompre and the Anum 'King' are still in camp, asking for assistance, and there are rumours that several hundred Asantes are coming.
