Dschome, the most southerly Asante controlled area on the Volta, is only 2 days journey on the river north of Anum, and has a famous market. Awuruhai is also visited by large numbers of Asante traders. There is some discussion of diplomatic contacts between Krobo leaders and Akwamu, and the need to equip them with suitable presents.
