"Strömberg to Basel"

Writes that he is more than prepared to obey the Basel Committee and regard the 4th Commandment as applying to them, though he adds the condition of his being convinced that they are being guided by the head of the church. This letter in fact asks to be allowed, to resign from the Basel Mission - he hopes to join the same mission as Auer in Cape Palmas. Reasons offered include the point that he thinks he will have to remain single in the Basel Mission if he does not marry a German girl, and he feels neither is his calling, and that he is able to do nothing to help his mother (who is in considerable need after the death of his father), in view of his position in the Basel Mission.
