"Kromer to Basel"

Describes the Dadentam incident. En route for Dadentam he passed 'here and there' men loading their guns in the wood. He in fact operated in Dadentam in company with two linguists from the Okyenhene. They had to spring between the two parties when they appeared because the fight was just about to begin, and after three hours he pulled the Kibi elder who was the leader of the Kibi party involved in the quarrel from the throng, and did not let go of him on the path back to Kibi until the elder gave orders that his people should be informed that he gave them the order to withdraw. Ata thanked him warmly for his intervention.
