Item Details
Title:
"Kromer's Report for the Third Quarter 1860"
Description
During Strömberg’s absence in Akropong he had to translate a letter aent from the Governor to King Atta for him. The chief of Asiakwa, which like the Gyadams, 65 years ago migrated from Asante but serves king Atta, has asked for a teacher. A paragraph about the 4 Gyadam Christians who had arrived in Akropong is written in stark Calvinist terms – these were chosen by God from among the Gyadamers, and God has put into them the wish for further training.
