"Gyadam Station Conference protocoll"
Item Details
Title:
"Gyadam Station Conference protocoll"
Description
Strömberg reports on the situation in Gyadam (the king’s possessions all stand ready to move in the streets, and the women have already left on the journey to Swedru. The sheep and goats have been all killed too); and proposes that as Agyeman has asked, the mission should take it on itself to report to the English government the events of the past few days, and make known Agyeman’s wish that the government should take steps to preserve the peace. In Akropong it is decided that the mission should proceed by word of mouth, Locher in Christiansborg interviewing the governor. This is in order not to endanger the friendly relation existing between the mission and king Atta in Kibi.
