He has been preaching regularly in the Wesleyan chapel at Akropong, and made a 5 day journey to the Afram Volta confluence specifically to Dode, where he says the people are of great religiosity. In letter No 20, he also discusses the possibilities of trade on the Volta, in general terms, and clearly is not aware of any political limits on the possibility thereof. It is already used by the Asante barter trade in pursuit of salt.
