Description
Gives another Thaler equivalent: 1 Thaler is equal to 17 3/16 Pennyweights Troys. When Süss left Gyadam he took all the masons and carpenters with him, apparently on the grounds that they were indebted to him personally. Severe financial difficulties were avoided by the station’s taking an advance from Hesse, who is also poll-tax collector for the area. One of the baptised individuals (Kobinn), has twice been guilty of theft in recent weeks. They have altogether 17 children on the station for training in the household.
