Description
In the situation which led to Süss’ final break with the mission a number of points are made by Haas which give some picture of the working of the Gyadam station. At a conference on 11 May Süss had been left free from most station duties to carry on preaching, but he had been preaching only weekly in Gyadam and the first “Reisepredigt” on which he had embarked was to Moseaso on 14 June. He is also said to have been involved in a clash with the Asafohene of Gyadam, one Kwabena Ba, who is described as an old man with silver hair.
