Description
Dieterle and Mader report on their visit to Süss. Their visit was taken on both sides as an indication that nothing was amiss between the missionaries personally. However, Süss feels himself committed to Gyadam, and is content to let the illnesses take their course. Nevertheless he is able to leave his bed only occasionall and has been able to do scarcely anything since his arrival in Gyadam. Nothing is said about how he had been supported since his arrival, nor what the local attitudes to him were.
