"General Conference Report"

Includes (sect I.2) a short discussion on the difference between the Akim dialect of twi und that of Akropong, which arose from a question put by the Basel Comitee after reading the reports of the two journeys to Akim. General opinion now (Süss leading, on the basis of speaking with the two Akim boys in his house) that the difference is very slight. Also (Sect I.3) a reply to an enquiry as to whether the Gold Coast mission could become self-supporting through the sale of cultivated products as the Brothermission hes done in South Africa. Followed by a long discussion about Abokobi in which little new is said - Abokobi cannot be expected to show much results until the present regime (in which the plantation is run by one Abraham, a christian from Teshi evacuated there to remove him from the temptation of trading in rum) is superceded by the movement of a missionary household to that place. Sect II.1 is a provisional text of the Gemeindeordnung drafted by Dieterle and Stanger.
