Like C-1.12, C-1.13 has no index, and there is no internal system for identifying each report, other than quoting author, place and date. But unlike C-1.12 there is no sign of an intended internal structures - no grey sheets. Bührer’s biography of an elderly Tamil man, apparently written on the Nilgiris in 1852, has been bound into C-1.27.Nilgiris.26. Since this volume is neither indexed nor numbered through great care must be taken in researching or referring to its contents, and readers must be aware that as things stand it will be very difficult to identify a document unambiguously in such a way that other scholars will be able to find it. NB C-10.82 contains the minutes of a Basel Mission General Conference held in India in January 1854, and a long paper-trail beginning in 1853 and ending in 1856 linked to those discussons.
